Traveling further afield you can find the famous roman forts of housesteads and vindolanda only a 20 minute drive away and they are easily accessible on the local bus service. A relaxing roll top bath, luxury mattress’ and bed linen help your body relax after a long day exploring Northumberland. As per all our properties, the spectacular Northumbrian coastline and the gateway to the lake district are only 1hr away, meaning this cottage is a perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of the UK.

LAYOUT

  • Main bedroom - Double bed with large walk in wardrobe (sleeps 2)

  • Second Bedroom - Double bed with hanging rail and shelving (Sleeps 2)

  • Kitchen - Kitchen with all the equipment you would need for a stay and fantastic views out into the fields behind the property

  • Living room - Enough comfy seating for 4 as well as dining seats for 4. A wood burning stove, ideal for those chilly northern winter nights and a large flat screen TV

  • Bathroom -  Large bathroom with free standing bath, toilet, basin & storage space. 

  • Outdoor space - Decking area with seating, a BBQ and some amazing views of Hexham.

  • Parking - There are no designated spaces for the cottage. However, we have recently purchased some land to turn into parking. Until this is completed there are a few different places to park. Full info will be given on your welcome pack.

NEIGHBOURHOOD

Nestled in a very quiet street with only a few houses and no through road, this makes it an ideal location for any break away. On the edge of the woods you are only 50 yards away from exploring the woodland or less than 15 minutes away from shopping in the town centre. 

TRANSPORT

​

If you are planning on traveling on public transport the cottage is around 20/25 minutes walking distance from the train station.  A taxi would cost around £5 but unfortunately there are no buses that run up this area.
