Hexham holiday homes is a family run self-catering accommodation provider based in Northumberland. The business was established in 2018 by local proprietor Jordan Dodwell. The company was formed accidentally when Jordan moved in with his Fiancée, Anna, leaving behind a fully furnished apartment. Unsure what to do Jordan decided to list it on Airbnb to see if he could just cover the payments on the property. Things grew from strength to strength and 3 years on, we now have 7 properties in our portfolio with a number of new properties coming in 2021! Jordan shares a love for the area and is well known in the area for running a Restaurant & cocktail bar, Vercelli, and recently taking over the Greenhead Hotel & Hostel located on the Hadrians wall path.

 

If you have visited Northumberland before, you will not be surprised to hear the county was crowned 'The best UK holiday region' at the 2018 British travel awards. If you haven’t visited Northumberland before, you are in for a treat and our properties make a great base for exploring Hadrian's Wall, the beautiful Northumbrian coastline and the idyllic countryside.

  

Hexham Holiday Homes has a variety of modern and traditional properties to offer a home from home service that suits everyone. With Jordan’s creative ideas and the help from his brother, Josh, many of our homes have been fully refurbished. Josh, who has many years experience in the building industry, has joined the team to manage some projects we have starting in 2021 as well as maintaining all our properties throughout the year. Jordans passion for the properties is shown by hand picking all the homes and keeping within our high standards.

 

ABOUT

All our properties are fully equipped with everything you will need for your stay with free onsite parking. All bed linen, towels, shampoo, and body wash are supplied for your stay, alongside basic essentials such as tea and coffee. After booking with us you will receive a welcome pack via email, this is filled with information on the property, the local area and even some discount codes to be used in local shops and restaurants.

 

We have 4 properties less than a 15 minute walk into the centre of this beautiful market town, where you will be greeted by an abundance of independent, thriving shops, cafe's & restaurants. Lets not forget the breathtaking architecture that Hexham Abbey has to offer and the gruesome border reivers battle story, that is told in full over the 4 floors in the Old Gaol.

Our 5th property is just 9 miles south of Hexham in the peaceful village of Allendale. This cottage is ideal for anyone looking for that 'country get away'. All our properties in Hexham are easily accessible via public transport, however, we do recommend having a car for Isaac's cottage.

A further two properties, are located in Allerwash just 6.2 miles away from Hexham and 2.3 miles away from the nearest village, Haydon Bridge. These two properties are located in 65 acres of woodland, perfect for those looking for a tranquil home away from home. One property is 1 bedroom (sleeps 2) and the other 4 bedroom (sleeps 7), they can be booked separately or together to sleep up to 9.

RULES

We have very little house rules, all we ask is that you look after our properties as if they were your home. However, we do NOT allow pets of any kind or smoking in any of the properties. Thank you.
