Once you hit the road in a car you can discover some of the fantastic places to visit in Northumberland and County Durham. Allendale is famous for throwing a party with the traditional new years event being the pick of the lot. The Allendale folk festival also brings visitors from far and wide with a 2 day festival attracting some of the best folk acts from all over the UK. Don't forget to enjoy a pint of real Ale made by the local Allendale brewery. Their ale can be found in the local pubs and also in their onsite shop at the brewery.
