THE LOCATION (HEXHAM)

Situated in the North Tyne Valley, Wark provides an excellent base for exploring Northumberland's countryside, historic attractions and outdoor activities. The village offers local amenities including a shop, pub and café, while the nearby market town of Hexham provides a wider selection of shops, restaurants and visitor attractions. The property is within easy reach of Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland National Park and Kielder Water & Forest Park, making it well placed for walking, cycling, sightseeing and stargazing. Northumberland's coastline, castles and picturesque villages are also accessible for day trips.

  • Wark is well placed for exploring Northumberland and the wider North East. Hexham is around 11 miles away (20 minutes by car), Corbridge is approximately 16 miles away (25 minutes), and Newcastle is around 30 miles away (45 minutes). The nearest train stations are in Hexham and Corbridge, with regular services to Newcastle and Carlisle. Newcastle International Airport is approximately 25 miles away. Wark is easily accessible by road and is connected to nearby towns and villages by local bus services. Private parking for up to four cars is available at the property.
